ShibaCoin Development Announcement: New Official GitHub Repository
The original founder of ShibaCoin, Huck, remains the sole owner of the current official GitHub account, ShibaCoinPPC. As the only owner, he has always been the only person who can appoint new maintainers or grant management access to that account. The current team also cannot create any new repositories or codebases under that account.
To make sure ShibaCoin development can continue and its future is secured, I am creating a new GitHub account and repository that the current team controls. All future development will take place there.
The username "shibacoinshic" was registered on GitHub by another party on October 4th and is not affiliated with this project. Because of this it was no longer available.
The new official account will instead be:
ShibaCoinPOW (Proof of Work)
This name follows the same style as the existing ShibaCoinPPC account.
Please treat ShibaCoinPOW as the official source for ShibaCoin code from this point forward. Any other account using the ShibaCoin name should not be considered official unless it is announced here.
There is currently a wild-growth of ShibaCoin related accounts, sites and other resources and this has now apparently even moved to Github.
Note: my stance regarding the ShibaCoin project stays the same, as it always has been, this action is SOLELY to pave a path for continued project development as currently nobody but Huck can make the necessary changes to the original GitHub account.
Further details, including the repository link, will be posted once the new (same as current) repository is live.

Social media is pointless to push when there is nothing happening, there is no news, no hype, no launches, literally nothing. There are announcements we had wanted to post months ago to get action but it was needing dev input and despite promises it was never received.
We understand that we are all volunteers and our personal lives must come first but we can’t neglect our commitment to Shic either.
There has been interference from other project teams, and communication to only part of our team and the rest of us kept out of discussions. That is not a healthy and thriving environment and gives the impression of agendas.
This was posted in Mod chat “One of the problems is that the only people that still do some things for the project outside of discord have a way to not mesh with the way our discord runs. I'm the one that falls between the shore and the ship, now being not able to work with either side.”
The 4 of us have absolutely no context to what this means and despite being asked for clarification, like normal it’s been ignored and avoided.
Who is doing work for Shic outside of Discord because as far as we are aware no one is?
What is wrong with the discord and the way it’s run? What does “have a way to not mesh with the way our discord runs” mean.
It’s now become crystal clear that this is not only pre-meditated but supported and encouraged with backstabbing and gossip with an agenda of MB and 3/4 mods out and them in.
This is a group who actively and purposefully supports well known scammers from other projects who not only have scammed some of our member’s who were also in that community and lost $, but they have also publicly and privately tried to destroy Shic and done all they can to make it happen.
Why are they being allowed to infiltrate Shic and given full support which we’ve all worked so incredibly hard for, yet we can’t get a reply, support and respect, especially when there are private attacks on people.
Back in January there were false narratives and lies told about MB’s absence to try and push forward an agenda by a group wanting control via a DAO and since we stood up and said no things have not been the same.
A DAO supports whales and gives them majority control, that’s not what Shic is about, we are about community and it’s not fair to those who joined this community, invested what they could but don’t have thousands to be a controlling whale.
With a DAO, the more coins you hold the more votes it gives you, instead of every holder big and small having the same voice, those who control most coins then controls whatever new rules they want to enforce. We were even TOLD that the discord server would be owned and run by a DAO bot and every single thing that happened on the server, roles, channels etc would be done by a vote and the bot. That is beyond ridiculous and nothing but power play.
What everyone is forgetting is that someone would have to own, host and control the bot.
Team members should not be met with blatant disrespect and told how things will happen eg “And yes, sorry, you will no longer be the sole queen of a server. It is what it is.”
Yet it’s not about full control?
We are not saying we’ve been perfect and faultless, we’ve all made mistakes but the way things are behind the scenes it is broken and we can’t see a way forward. We can’t work in a space or environment where there is no support, lack of communication and downright sabotage and disrespect.
We know there have been and will be a lot of rumours and false stories after this, we don’t want to get into a slinging match but we will try and answer questions as appropriate in #shic chat. Please keep any comments and discussions civil.
We honestly wish Shic all the best, we hope that there will be people who step up and move Shic forward to what it can truly be.

To our Shic fam,
This is an announcement that we had hoped we’d never have to post but sadly the time has come for some of us to say goodbye. This letter is from MB and 3 mods, ᗷᗩᕲᕼᓰᘻᗩᘉSᕼᑘ Medvrich & Smerbielocks
We know this is long but things need to be addressed so please read it all.
I (MB) have poured my heart and soul into Shic for the last 18 months but as things currently stand I can no longer continue in my position as team leader and will be stepping down as will the 3 above mods.
I’ve tried to write this so many times, as you all know I’m never stuck for words but I’ve struggled to write what I know we need to say.
I never expected to find myself in this role but took a leap of faith when the owner and original dev left and unexpectedly handed the project over to Hans and I. We were faced with a choice to either close it all down or try and build Shic into something we believed in. We chose to move forward but it’s been a long and hard process to try and get everything moved over and under our control.
I am not a dev, I am and have always been a Community Manager which is where I thrive and succeed and love doing. I’ve been asked by multiple projects to get involved and help after seeing my work and see how many of the community follow me wherever I go.
I want to make it clear though that offers of work are not why I’m leaving Shic.
In my time as team leader I’ve been involved with many things behind the scenes which a lot of you don’t know or see but it’s been a lot of work and quite frankly I’m exhausted.
Unfortunately there has been no dev work for a very long time now and despite myself and the mods trying to push things along, our questions and requests have been met with silence. There is so much I wanted to do and achieve, my ideas are endless but my and our hands are completely tied.
I have been approached by so many projects and asked about collabs and promotions but sadly my efforts to discuss these opportunities within Shic has had little to no response and those opportunities which would have been amazing have been lost.
We had a dev wanting to help build Shic resources yet despite asking for access to systems for work being done and access promised, it again has been met with silence for months. This dev has now decided to dump all they had been working on despite him and MB communicating, because again he has no access to anything and neither do we.
The mods and I have kept working quietly behind the scenes to do what was needed, new branding which we were waiting to launch, creating and building social media teams, voting platforms, exposure and promotions but again this has been all a wasted effort when we can’t get a basic reply to things we need or promised items never delivered.

CoinEx Is Shutting Down

CoinEx has announced via their website and X that the will be closing down with some changes to take affect from today 15th September.
While withdrawals are open until mid December, we recommend @everyone to withdraw their assets as soon as possible.

September 15 (UTC+8)

* Referral commissions and other rewards will cease to be distributed.
* Futures contracts will enter Reduce-Only Mode.
* No new subscriptions or orders will be accepted for Fiat, Margin trading, Loans, Earn, Staking, or Strategic trading.

September 22 (UTC+8)

* All non-spot services will be ceased.
* On-chain deposit services will be ceased, except for CET deposits, which will remain available until September 29.

September 29 (UTC+8)

* All spot trading services will be ceased, and non-USDT assets will be processed.
* The repurchase window will end. The platform will repurchase all CET remaining in user accounts at 0.005 USDT per CET, with no quantity limit and no additional conditions.
* CoinEx Smart Chain (CSC) and OneSwap will cease operations.

December 22 (UTC+8)

* The withdrawal period will end, and the platform will cease operations.
* Please make sure to withdraw all assets before this date.
