First you need to create an account for HIVE through a provider.

We recommend InLeo but if you want you can choose a different provider here.

On the InLeo signup page you can sign up with your X or Google account or use Keystore.

Select your preferred method and choose a username (your HIVE username is also your wallet address). Then it'll take 60 seconds for your account to be created on the HIVE blockchain and after that the important part is already done.

You're now the owner of a fully functional HIVE account and can participate in the HIVE ecosystem as well as receive assets like CVN Tokens.

So if your goal is to withdraw tokens from tip.cc you're done now. Start the withdraw process and enter your HIVE username as the destination account.

However if you want to access and be able to send your tokens you also need a wallet!

On your InLeo settings page claim your keys by clicking on the "Start claim process" button. Enter a master password and download your keys.

We recommend keychain, but you can also find a selection of other wallets here.

Keychain is available for mobile devices as well as extension for various Browsers including Brave, Firefox and Google Chrome.

On the keychain download page select your preferred platform and install keychain.

When you first open it keychain will ask you to set it up. First open the USERNAME_hive_keys.txt file you downloaded from InLeo and copy the "Active Private Key".

Then open keychain and choose the method "keys/pwd". Then enter your username and paste the copied key.

That's it, you now have an HIVE account along with a wallet and means to access and send any of owned HIVE assets!
